Wastewater Facility Planning

SEA has a broad range of experience in developing facility plans for both water and wastewater treatment systems. We understand that the key to success for any water or wastewater project is a sound implementable facility plan. Without a solid facility plan to follow, most projects will result in increased user fees and construction of facilities that may not meet the total future needs of the community.

Our experience includes preparation of planning studies following the following major guidelines:

USEPA Section 201 Facility Planning

PADEP Act 537 Facility Planning

NJDEP Facility Planning Guidelines

We have developed Facility Plans for all size municipalities from the smallest Township or Borough to large multi-jurisdictional Authorities. Typical facility plans include:

Review of Background Information

Needs Assessment of Onsite Treatment Systems

Evaluation of Existing Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance Systems

Development of Alternatives

Evaluation of Alternatives

Based on a through review of the information developed through the planning process, we are then able to provide our clients with the most cost effective solution to meet their future water or wastewater needs.

SEA is also experienced in developing plans to implement Sewage Management Districts. We can assist municipalities in developing the necessary infrastructure required to develop and implement this type of program.

We will work with our clients and the regulatory agencies to develop a comprehensive work plan prior to completing the planning project to assure that all objectives are meet at the end of the planning process.
